I have had these Passenger cars since 2000. I bought them brand new in 2000. They are aluminum Passenger cars like the 2551, 2552, 2553 and 2554 Canadian Pacific cars from 1957 or so. The box says 2000 on them and a bunch of other info. Just needed to know how much these cars are worth?? Is there a way to find values of MTH trains?? Because the rest of my trains are Lionel. If you need the other info, I would need to look on the original boxes. I have the original boxes, foam padding, everything with them. They are (2) coaches, (1) Vista Dome and (1) Observation. All lighted, just like the postwar set. No locomotives with these cars. They have never been used and are Mint/OB. I would say a 10/10. I bought them for $200 back in 2000. I thought it was a steal back then. Just need to know what they are worth today?? Thanks.
Off hand I would suggest checking E-Bay history or try Traincity.com, they have a link to an MTH price history.
I have more Info. They are an Uncataloged Items Set. Item No. 20-80002G-A, 20-80002G-B, 20-80001B2E, and 20-80001B2F. They are 60’ Aluminum Passenger Cars. 16" x 2 1/2" x 4". They have 4 wheel diecast trucks. They say Banff Park observation, skyline 500 vista dome, blair manor and craig manor pullmans. I have no baggage car with these. They also say 2000 D.A.P. on the two pullman boxes. Says they will operate on 031 track. Thats it for now. I found the two coaches on the MTH webpage. But, have an MSRP of: Unknown. They have on the page that the two coaches came togther in a single box. But, I have 2 boxes, One for each of them. I have 4 boxes total. They still have the wrapping paper with them and plastic paper as well. I looked at them just now. The wheel are unused. Never saw the track. Everything is intact and there 100% original and complete. Just need to find out how much they are worth?? I check ebay for the samething I have. Nothing out there. Humm. Thanks.

The best thing I could tell you is watch these and deduct some since buyer will not be bidding and running them up on another set …
Mine are 60’ versions. They look exactly like the postwar lionel C.P. passenger cars and are even named the same. Same numbers and names and design, etc. But, they are MTH, like copies of the lionel C.P. set. I seen them in the TCA quarterly, but have the C.P. AA units with them. I guess I might have to subtract like $300 from that price to egt an idea what they are worth. thanks.
