Once again, a comparison of this model with others of similar prototypes – in this case, other HO Alco PA locomotives, including but not limited to the Proto 2000 and Athearn models – would be very helpful. This is one of the best features of at least one German-language model railroading magazine.
Do you have to add a DCC decorder to work on DCC
I agree with Stephen regarding brand comparisons since most are in the same price range.

White smoke? Give me a break. The old Alco diesel trademark was dense black smoke when all was not perfect with the diesel engine under load. Not sure why MTH felt that a white smoke unit was needed for this model.
