Has anyone recieved an MTH Mohawk yet? I pre-ordered an L4 and figured they would be the last ones sent out, plus I had read a few reviews about the occassional shaft bearing slippage, so I figured there was a delay, but I’m curious to know if any have hit the streets.

They are out. A friend of mine brought his L-4 (#3136?) over to my house this past Tuesday to run it around my layout. Who did you order yours from? My friend ordered it through a local Walthers dealer here in town.
It’s a very nice looking locomotive and runs well. My friend did have a problem with a linkage screw coming loose before he came over. I’m patiently waiting for my pre-ordered BLI L-4a to be released. It’s slotted for this coming April but I’m hopin’ earlier, now that the brass version has presumably been put on hold.

I oredered mine through a LHS, who has had problems with MTH delivering HO stuff before, so he said if it was out, but he hadn’t received it by Tuesday, he’d re-order it through Horizon Hobbies or Walthers. He did call me Wednesday to say he oredered it, but I forget through who. At least now I know it is out.

I hope you enjoy the MTH - whenever it finally does come in. I just found out last night that the BLI Mohawks have been bumped back another month to May 2009. Oh well. The anticipation will make getting it even the more sweeter. I’m also seriously thinking about the new BLI J1d/e Hudsons with the Paragon2 decoders.
