IF you can live with a 4% grade, then the only thing I would change is the yard in the lower right. As it is now you have to switch the yard on the main line. If you were to connect the yard further to the right–past the 50 cm line, you could have a yard lead.

If you reverse the yard throat so that it comes out straight from the yard, you can approach and parallel the main and attach at the very bottom of the straight. You might have to play with your lower level or create a bridge.

When you look at the schematic drawing, you see a distance line that says 50 cm running vertically. The main line passes through that line. I’m talking about attaching the yard lead to the main about 30 cm to the right of that line. It will be easier if you reverse the direction of the turnout at the yard throat so that the entrance to the yard is straight with the topmost track.
