Well as I stated in my what did you do this weekend forum I mentioned I was going to Walthers Thursday and Getting my Oldsmobile 442’s from Hobbytown. I made it to walthers but not not hpbbytown theres always later today.

As for my latest encounter with a Cornerstone kit I decided to build the Passenger Car Washer and had minor issues with the kit the problem is on glue. Tenex R7 works great for plastic to plastic gluing but of course doesnt work with metal. So you need to buy or use a CA glue. For a tip to anyone going to purchase or has and hasnt built it yet. Use gel CA not the liquid one it goes all over and makes a mess. Thankfully I am weathering this slightly and the messed up areas should be well used to do this process. I have it setting up to be able to work and so far pretty good the jig is still gluing.

As for what else I got it doesnt matter cause this isnt a breg forum LOL. Anyhow have a good day and Happy Modeling.

So Walthers has kits that require styrene-to-metal glueing? Interesting… Anyway, one adhesive I’ve grown really fond of is ‘steel’ expoxy, such as J-B Weld (http://jbweld.net/products/index.php ). Takes a bit longer to use [unless you use the 4-minute stuff, which I avoid] but the quality of the bond is much better. I’ve used it in several plastic-to-metal applications, including a scratchbuilt brass ore bridge (traveling overhead crane).

I always used the thick version of CA so that it doesn’t spread too thin.
