That 's nice! Are you thikning of putting in a simple backdrop?
I think it could use a little scenery, the trackwork and structures seem to overwhelm the rest of the layout, giving it a bit of a toy like appearance.

Looks to me like the kind of a place a guy could operate for hours on end. It also looks like it was built by someone who’s spent most of their time in the city, which isn’t something you run across so often. Especially nice job on the big skyscrapers and the long arched truss bridge. Thanks for putting up the pics.

I live within a mile of cambridge MA
the layout started with $200 in 1x4s and was the central midland
but I made the skyscrapers from ceiling tile light covers and it quickly became a city type layout its 1.6 ho miles of double track the trains run
most I have had on the mountain layout is 6 locos pulling 27 proto boxcars
I have 15 steam locomotives but they are so nice I dont run them to much
why do we do that spend all that money and leave them in the box

Yours is a lot further along than mine. I have a feeling most layouts are never 100% finished as the owners make modifications in areas they end up not liking.
