i not really good at makeing stuff sorry to say it allways come out looking bad but i like working on layouts adding stuff and changeing it like

You can learn easily.
On brick builds you can use water based craft paint to weather it with.
Dilute the paint down in a cup and brush own with a 1/2 inch brust untill it flows in between the bricks. Let it sit a bit then wioe off with a paper towle, you have instant mortor.
Use the same thing to make dirt or againg shingles.
There are a lot of cheap tricks to use
