Hello all,
Apologies in advance for the ads from YouTube.
I just watched a Mythbusters episode where the myth was an imploding 30,000 gal. tanker car .
The tanker car(s) did not implode; one in good condition and one in corroded condition, until the corroded one was damaged buy dropping a concrete block, weighing 3,200 lbs. on to it.
It also took a negative pressure of -23 in/Hg .
Pretty amazing!
Enjoy!
Old news.
There was a forum thread back in January that pretty well rang the changes on this story.
