N Scale Erie Lackawanna Terminal in Hoboken, NJ Model Done

While it’s not 100% complete it’s pretty much done. I still need to figure out how to make a removable train shed. The Terminal itself is the Walthers Union Station Which I modified by raising the roof, smoothing out the stone on the ends since the station is actually copper plated, and filed the middle window so the clock could be added. Still need to work on the clock tower more.

I custom painted and kitbashed all of the passenger cars and 4 of the locomotives and the PCC trolley as well. The rest were either mass produced or custom painted by someone else. Let me know what you think.

I’d love to see more of the layout!

If you go to my website at www.CarlettaTrains.com you can see more pictures of it and my Z scale brief layout. There’s also a “How-To” section with some tips and tricks.

Amazing work on the NJ Transit fleet! Thanks for sharing!!

Really great job. What are you planning for an encore?

The encore would be to add the train shed, but that’s no easy task. I want it to be removable so I can access the cars and the whole thing is connected. I have the Walthers Butterfle platform kit, but I’d need to figure out a way to connect them. I’m also working on adding trees and bushes and other landscaping elements.

I also just realized looking at these pictures that I left 2 decals off of the end of the cab car. Ugh, going to have to add them back. In total, I applied around 300 decals between the 4 locomotives and the 13 passenger cars.

I live near Hoboken Terminal and visit frequently. If you need any detail pix let me know and we can make arrangements.
