N Scale PRR/CR Juniata Division

I haven’t posted here in a while, but thought some might be interested in visiting my new website/blog.

Some of you may remember the old web content; it had gotten a little long in the tooth, and the software I’d used to build it was sadly out of date. I’m now blogging with WordPress and linking the website/blog with the model railroad’s Facebook page:

There is much work yet to do to populate the galleries, but the new format will be easier to keep updated.

I’ve missed your posts, Dave. It’s good to have you back.

Your layout and website look great.

Welcome back, Sir!

You have nailed the look of Central Pennsylvania! I hope I can someday come close to doing the same thing for my modeled area. (I will admit that having a single modeled month simplifies my life.)

Quick update…

The layout sits in crates in my garage waiting for the basement to be finished. It will have a room in our new basement all to itself and I do plan to expand further.

We just moved to Colorado Springs where I’ve taken a position as Assistant Professor of Physics and Meteorology at the US Air Force Academy.

The N Scale Juniata Division will be featured in the upcoming Great Model Railroads 2014 issue. Paul Dolkos visited the layout in February and spent a day taking photos.

I finally broke down and bought a decent camera (Nikon D5100) so I can take better pictures myself. I’m suffering layout withdrawal, but I can share some of my pics:

Dave,
We can all learn from your incredible insight & modelling, a big thank you for sharing with us, & for your uncomprising cander.
It is much appreciated.
I wish you the best of luck on your new layout expansion, & the future excellence you will share with us!
Thanks,

Dave! Wow! … Sounds like you are doing very well! … Cngratulations on the move to Colorado Springs and the assistan professor job! Also, congratulations on the publicity in Great Model Railroads 2014. … Please keep posting here in the MR forum when you can!

Dave,

Congrats on the new job. I was just down in the Springs last month playing golf.

The layout looks great, looking forward to seeing more progress when you move the layout to your basement.
