I’m beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.

I used 1 1/8" on the broad curves of my large N scale layout. It looked good and I had no problems.

The yard tracks were spaced 1 1/4". The staging tracks were 2" for finger clearance.

I agree with Kevin, 1 1/8" on the main and 1 1/4" for yard tracks.

I agree with Kevin and Larry. That is exactly how mine are spaced. Those measurements rang a bell but I just went and put a ruler on them and confirmed it. I remember researching that here on this forum before I was a member.

When I started my n scale layout, I didn’t research enough. I made the distance 1¼ inches. It looks fine, but I ran into trouble when I bought a double bridge and tried to fit the tracks.

I debated whether I should rip out the tracks I had already laid. I decided that was more work than I needed at the time, so I modified the bridge to get the tracks to fit.
