Hello everyone. Does anyone offer a high short hood kit for the GE Universal line? I have some Athearn U28Bs and U30Bs that I would like to convert. Cannon & Co has my EMD roster dialed in, but I can’t seem to find much for GEs.

Also, how hard would it be to backdate a GP40-2 to a GP40? I scored a couple of Athearn BBs on closeout for a good deal and just couldn’t pass them up.

I know I don’t post very often, but I check on here almost daily and the tips and information that I get from here is invaluable. Thanks!

GP40-2 to GP40: cheaper, and easier to purchase GP40 shells from Atlas for the Athearn chassis. Alternatively, Cannon & Co has everything you’ll need:

Details include (but not limited to): cab, sub base, assorted doors, dynamic brake, exhaust stake, fans, etc. Be sure to use photos, and remember things varied unit to unit and over time.
