Korean War railroad attack
While the military kept America’s railroads running under Truman, it sought the opposite elsewhere. Here, the Fifth Air Force’s 452nd Light Bomb Wing drops napalm on rail cars south of Wonsan, North Korea, an east coast port city, circa 1950-51.

I really shouldn’t bring her name into a topic on trains.
Unless she is run over by one !

HMMMM, I wonder if this napalm method could be used to eliminate competition in the rail business? seems pretty effective to me.
Looks like a hot time in that train yard. The North Korean Roadmaster is going to have his work cut out for him. Or more correctly burned out for him.
If you push the photo to 300% you can see what looks like some folks in the photo.

Bombing those box cars with napalm gives a whole new meaning to the term “HOT BOX” [#oops ]
