National Train Day celebration in Toledo set for May 4

The Ohio Association of Railroad Passengers is known as All Aboard Ohio (AAO). Other organizations that will be present are the Northwest Ohio Rail Passenger Association (NOPRA), the Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers (MARP), the Ohio Higher Education Rail Network (OHERN), the Midwest High Speed Rail Association (MHSR) and the Ohio Rail Tourism Association (ORTA). Last year over 8,000 attendees participated in various Toledo Train Day events.
Good luck keeping the bums off the tracks and equipment as well as the taggers… Toledo ? Really??? 14th worst city in the USA for crime.
The May 4 event saw an estimated 8000 plus visitors attending.
Reports to date have been favorable. For dozens of those at
“Train Day,” it was a first time look at what an Amtrak train looked like inside. Many people were not aware of where one can travel by rail from Toledo.
