About a month ago as I was Making my way across this great country of ours, Having the best railroad hunting vacation ever. And while driving through Arizona, I came across an Southern Pacific Caboose. Yes I know no big deal… Thats what I thought at first, until i saw the paint scheme.
This SP B/W Caboose was painted in SP dark lark and the sides of the bay windows and the ends where painted SP scarlet. The rest of the marking where normal for SP cabooses. The paint was faded from years of sun light and neglect.
My question is did[?], Southern Pacific ever paint a caboose this color?
I know they did in Caboose brown, caboose red and white of S.P.P.D.
Any Ideas???
