Need Help Identifying and Valuing Couplers

Our Club has a display set up during Christmas and have a table of used train items for sale.

I package up the Horn Hook Couplers into 8 packs and price them cheap!

There are a lot of visitors that have train sets with broken coulpers that the kids have broke over the years.

So we sell a lot of the old Horn Hooks!

We also go the same with the old wheels sets!

A win - win !

Count them up, list on Eabay and list at $1.00 for the batch and see what they end up selling for. I never saved my replaceed couplers, I just tossed them as I built the kits

The most important question is can you make more money if you sell them as pairs or as single couplers.

Your coupler treasure trove is HO and mine in N but I have similar problems with the (Arnold) “Rapido” couplers I replace. I used ONE Rapido coupler, stood it on end and kitbashed it to represent (more or less) an N scale drill press. That still leves me with 899 unneeded old replaced couplers.

I don’t think HO X2f horn-hooks look anything like a drill press, so I dunno.
