Need help on putting handrails on Athearn GP-38 ,UP, HO scale

I put them on and they didn’t hold on they slowly fell off and I don’t know where to put all of the details Please help Iam 14 and just starting an HO scale layout

First your going to need some good plstic model glue. Put a litlle dab on each stanchion on the handrail. then press the handrail into posistion. The glue will drie and hold the handrails in position.
