I just purchased a MRC syncro sound box 1025 for my HO DC layout. Hooked up just fine and got the steam side to sync real close, but am having trouble with the diesel side. This is what I am getting:
My loco starts moving at approx. 2 volts and I adjusted the chuff so it starts at 2 volts also. My diesels starts moving at approx. 2 volts but the diesel hum does not start to change speed until 61/2 volts and takes until 15v to go through all the changes. Even at 61/2 volts my engine is moving way faster than scale and at 12 volts it’s flying.
First I used a separate DC line to the unit red and black power in then I tried AC but still no difference. I read online that someone ran a test and on his unit the diesel went from idle to full power from .25volts to 3.5volts.
Called MRC but they were no help.
Has anyone had this problem and or have any suggestions???
