Its time to build the logging camp, era 1920’s. What are some of the great kits availible. I have found Boyd’s logging camp in Walters, but not quite right. Any suggestions?
Do a search on “Muir HO” on eBay. They make a bunch of logging and mining buildings. (Just don’t bid on the ones I want.)
Except for the very largest logging companies with permanent locations, logging camp buildings were built on skids so they could be easily moved, or were on railcars.
You will probably have to scratchbuild. I’ve only seen one manufacturer of logging camp buildings, the one you have already found in the Walthers catalog.
There is a magazine devoted to logging camps and logging railroads that I saw a copy of a few months ago, but I don’t remember the name of it.
The Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette might also be a good source of photographs or construction plans.
As cacole said, there isn’t much available as kits. However, most camps built their own to fit their needs. I suggest that you could do the same. They were simple structures andd very easy to scratch build.

Not to repeat myself, but Muir Models has a whole series on logging camps. Everything from the residience skids to the sawdust burners to the gang saw shed to the sawmill to the logging water towers. Just search eBay for them. They are readily availible.
Here are a few pics off ebay:
Campbell also has a couple of low-cost bunkhouse kits. We’re assuming you are modeling in HO, arthill, but are not sure.
Evergreen is another source for castings of logging equipment–saws, tools, donkey engines, jill pokes and other such items.
AMB/LaserKit has some bunkhouses:

Is this a logging camp where trees are being cut, or is it a lumber mill/lumberyard scene? What geographical region? It sounds like you have specific wants (thus the Boyd’s kit being “not quite right”)–more detail would help.
Go to Walthers and look for “Red Light District”. This is a simple craftsman kit of 5 identical shanties. Evergreen Hill Design I think. Simple to construct, and effective result. 5 shanties for about $18.00 I got mine, and built them in different paint jobs. [:)] You might also try kitbashing and weathering the Atlas Shanty.

BTS models offers a complete lumber town and mill buildings in HO, S, O scale.
I still have that “Red Light District” kit from Evergreen–haven’t built it yet, but then I haven’t built the logging layout either.
Logging camps were varied. Bunk houses could be as mentioned in previous posts or old box cars, passenger cars or something slightly better than old packing cases. How flush is your logging outfit?
