New Bachmann GP30s

When I was looking through Walthers a little while ago it said that Bachmann is bringing their GP30s back out with DCC installed. Will these also be available without DCC? I don’t have DCC yet so I’d want to get one without the DCC. And when are they coming out?

Oh, and, even if anyone says “don’t waste your money on Bachmann” I’ll still buy from them anyway because I already trust their quality.

Bachmann’s Spectrum line of STEAM is first rate; the diesels aren’t.

No, they will detect if the layout is DC or DCC, and automatically switch.

See Walthers.

COOL!!

All they say is “Summer” and have an advanced reservation button. But at least they’ll be $50 instead of $62. And you get the same detailing, an upgraded motor and DCC!!! How cool is that!?[:D][:D][:D]

Trainworld lists them as being with DCC and without DCC. The Non DCC ones are 19.99 and the DCC ones are 29.99 For that price I will pick a few up and paint GN Big Sky Blue. THe add also lists their GP35 as well

The Bachmann DCC diesels run just fine for a $50.00 locomotive. The steam locos may be great but they list at three times the price.

I hope you luck with them, I will never buy their diesels- pitiful design by any standards. Quality control, if exists, all over the place from unit to unit.
