Welcome to the forums!! You will have a good time and some fun on this forum!

Im BigBlueConrail and I joined 1 or 2 months ago so im sorta new like you. You will easily find your way around in no time. Enjoy!

Most of my rolling stock and a couple of my locomotives date back to the 50’s and 60’s. That’s one big reason why I model the 60’s, but it’s also an era I remember so I don’t need “references” to get it right. I love seeing modellers who are willing to take the time to bring at least some of their old equipment up to modern standards, and get it running again.

So, once again, welcome aboard. Have your tickets ready, please. Oh, and we’d love to see some photos of some of the old stuff.

Welcome aboard. As you can see from my post count, I’ve been pretty active on the forums, hopefully helpful, certainly opinionated.

A couple of quick comments:

Don’t be intimidated by ‘experts’ who try to push you into doing things their way. There are lots of ways to get the same result.

Experiment. Sometimes new ideas work, sometimes they don’t. If you don’t try, you’ll never know.

Above all, have fun.

Chuck

0-6-0,

[#welcome] to the forum! Good to have you aboard! [:)]

There’s a real knowledge base hear to glean from so you’ve come to the right place. Ask away. My first advice for you is: Don’t be afraid to ask the “dumb” question. That’s how we all learn around here. [:)]

Once again, welcome!

Tom

Welcome to MR forum,

Your vintage equipment is of interest to me as I enjoy the nostalgia factor if older Model Trains. I also like to buy older equipment and update it as best as possible to current standards.

I look foward to your topics in the near future.

James

Welcome and click everyone’s website and enjoy. We like to share [except when we have colds of course LOL].
Mine is still in the making but it might prove helpful. And no I am not selling anything LOL. Just have fun and read a LOT. [:)]

Thanks for the welcome .[:)] most of my stuff is old I like the train shows to finde the good stuff. I have 3 F7a s& F7a/b/a that are varney .2 mdc 0-6-0 from the 40s mantue 0-4-0 50s and the rest is from 60s 70s . I will try to get some pics up but not shur how to do it yet . lay out is basic loop one outside one in and two yards a turntabl & roundhouse lot action in littel space.

Welcome, 0-6-0! Sounds like an interesting bit of stuff you have there. You should be able to get many answers here to any questions you may have.

Another Welcome of course, enjoy your stay. There are some very good people here that like to share and help.

Welcome to the MR Forum! There are plenty of great folks in here to answer many and any questions you might have on model railroading from A to Z.

Also, if you have time to chat there is the Coffee Shop where some of us sit an talk about off topic items and trains too. It is a fun diversion from the more serious forum posts.
