New Jersey no longer will have world's largest layout

Will soon be at Natural Bridge in Virginia. Scales planned are Z thru G.

Thanks for the news!

How close is this to the CSX line that Amtrak uses coming from Florida. Is it near Richmond? I might do a stopover on my next Amtrak trip north, and check it out!

It’s west in Shenandoah’s & still under construction.

The O. Link Museum is a bit further SW if you want a rail excursion; also steam and diesel graveyard is in Roanoke. Pretty spooky place.

Based on what is this going to be the largest? There is nothing but a publicity blurb to support the statement. The Model railroad club of New Jersey has been building for what, 20 years now? I’ll believe it when I see it and there isn;t even a picture to see from what was on their web site.

cool

Since when has the New Jersey layout been the worlds largest. I thought the RH&DR at 13.5 real miles was hard to beat.

I saw a show about a former microsoft official that has an impressive model railroad in New Jersey. Anyone know where and when open to public?

I suspect that maybe this toy museum will be the largest ‘multi-scale’ layuout when it gets built. I suspect the Northlanz(sp?) layout is still the largest. The Model Railroad Club in Union may be the largest club layout. All of this really means nothing: If I cannot fit it into my house, I cannot use it!

edstrain-http://www.northlandz.com/ I think this is the one your looking for.
LightBender- I thought Train Mountain in (Montana? Wyoming?) was the largest 7 plus gauge around. Some thing like 25 or 30 real miles.

So, this topic is a year and a half old, how is this coming?
