These were taken with a three megapixel Olympus D550 Zoom and a five megapixel Vivitar 3935.
Something for the Union Pacific fans out there.
This is a work in progress, it still has a long way to go.
Here’s about 3/4’s of my locomotives.
This one’s usually a good draw, the abandoned steamer.
A pair of E7’s. Check out the rust on the white one.
One of my GP38-2’s. #4099 of the Gateway Western Railway, now owned by KCS.
One of my two SD40-2’s. KCS #666, and yes, there’s a prototype for it.
One of my two Atlas Interlocking towers.
KCS #4030, a road slug.
There are three shots of this crane car. Look for the flaking rust on the boom.
Here’s a car I’ve been working on. The roof walk has been removed and I’m getting to move the brake wheel down. Look at the peeling paint on the car end.

That’s good news/bad news Jeffrey!! Good news is that your pics are now just about as good as anyone’s!! Bad news is that it shows the tinyest piece of balast thats out of place!! Good job!![:D]
Ken, here’s my track plan. it’s 7’ 8" wide at the top and middle, 3’ 5" at the lower left end, 6’ 5" long on the right side and 10’ long on the left side.
The crane car is made by Bachmann. You can find it here:
Great pictures. You layout looks alot better with that camera. Now you know tomorrow is Weekend Photo Fun and I hope you have that camera warmed up. [;)]
I’m just using what I learned from trying to make do with a bunch of P.O.S. cameras and a few suggestions from jktrains thread on model photography. Now I have three cameras to use. When one runs down, I’ll it’s batteries on to charge and switch to the next one. The Vivitar is good for overall shots, with close-ups done no closer than twelve inches. The Olympus on the other hand can get excellent close-ups from four inches away.
Hey that is awesome I enjoy your pics you pike looks quite nice and the improvements you are making with her are insoiring to me another person on a fix income so to speak not as bad as yours but $300 in meds a month on top of rent , food and utilites you have to be creative in how your model pike gets built.
