I’m new around here and just wanted to say Hi from Navasota, TX.
Thanks for letting me be a part of all this.
[#welcome] Glad to see new members.
[#welcome]smalt18 ! Been slow in summer from time to time, but is a great place & hope you visit the Coffee Pot if you have time. Oh, where are you from? Ok, talk to you again, thanks, John
Welcome!!! You will find lots of wisdom advice and good times here.

Howdy Smalt, don’t thank us, but that the good folks at CTT for this forum. But lots of good folks here and lots of good advice with a slight slant toward the “toy” end of the hobby.
So tell us a little bit about your train interests… command or traditional; 027 or scale; new stuff or postwar or both. Despite some of the high stakes legal wrangling [B)] going on in the various train companies, they can’t take away my (our) love of the hobby and [:)] running trains.
And I’m as much of an odd ball [8] here as anyone… maybe ever more so! I’m an 027 hi-railer who runs tradionally sized trains, no digital command, off- board sounds, builds some of his own locos, repaints a lot (all locos, 3/4’s of cars - I like current roads: Conrail , CSX, NS, CNA) and alters many other cars, enthusiastically uses and recommends DC current to the track (esp. for the lower end can motored spur-geared locos… vastly improved performance.
So if an opinioned nut like me can feel at home here, there’s room for more.
Welcome Smalt!
I traveled through Navasota (from Houston) for 7 years while I was at Texas A&M.
Like Brianel says - let us know what your interests are. Join the Coffee Pot when you can.
Regards,
Roy
