I have been visiting so many sites. Its hard to keep up. Summer (for me ) is time to really work on the RR. I don’t even get to check all the post on my main 4 sites any more.

It takes time to do websites and there’s a learning curve (doesn’t matter what you use to design).
Coincidentally Bravenet is/was the host for my “old” forum and for what they provided it functioned very nicely.
OTOH it isn’t everyone’s cup-o-tea to insert HTML code in order to generate picture and URL links. We all got spoiled by forum software that does it on the fly!
BTW when you have a go at your webpage again, get software that allows you to publi***o “Local” i.e. the webpage sits on your HDD and you get to try out all the functions, check the graphics, spelling etc.

Yeah, I need to find my Front Page. Some where in the boxes of old CDs. Might just go into them and start looking and throwing away some to!
I do know some Java and Html but it just was not coming out right for me.

When it comes to websites I am worse of than any one else. I have no hope of doing it myself but my stepson can do it easily. The bad news is he only visits us for a week every six months or so and then he is pretty busy with other stuff but it is at least half done so there. Last time he visted he actualyl did most of the work for that thing to run a track behind the pumphouse and the time before that between us we worked out how to do it, so i guess i’m not doing too bad wait another 4 months and i’ll be right in there.

Well…I been putting my money away for a new HP Clone built computer, you know hi speed low drag type.
What is a person to do now that I have thought about it.

Upgrading to every new version of “whatever program” gives you the following:
- Less money in your pocket
- a whole set of new glitches which the developers will fix, one day
- a bunch of new routines which by the time you have them down pat will be replaced by the next batch in the yet “newer and more improved” version
- some snag during the upgrade procedure which will give you fits and the chance to call tech support (on Sunday[;)])
- and most of all Mr. Murphy in full working attire

BTW with MS FP make sure you don’t add the extensions unless you know that your hosting outfit supports them.
I looked at FP and went with “Netobjects Fusion” instead, much leaner code!
FP is bloatware, like most of the stuff from MS, that produces bloatcode. [:(!][:(!]
On the Hi-Speed low drag 'puter, call me cheap but I’m still working on a PII-166, the only time I run into trouble is having two windows with Fusion 7 running, along with Corel Photo-Paint and Corel-Draw, in addition using WS-FTP. Then she’ll balk once in a while, other than that it processes very quickly.
And yes, I’m still using Win98 SE; I’ve read all about patches and security issues for the newer versions. They can keep it! I’m hoping that someone will come out with a really good Win emulator for Linux and I’ll be switching.
