Well here it is a new year, and I just discovered I have a serious problem. I love my problem and therein lies the problem. You see, everyday that I’m home from my work as an over the road trucker, my day starts like this: When I awake int the morning I jump out of bed, put my my slippers on, grab my clothes, and head for the computor in our den. On the way, I buzz through the kitchen, flip the coffee pot on that the wife had prepared the night before. I then turn the computor on and while it is booting up, use the bathroom, return to the booted computor, and get to this forum. While the putor is doing it’s thing to get here, I put my clothes on and read a few posts. I then go to the kitchen, grab a cup of black coffee, return to the putor and I’m good for a few hours of complete happiness here with you all. Now to the problem. Is there any way I can streamline my efforts here to save a few seconds? I think I have this routine down to a science. The only real variable is Bubba >^…^< but he is starting to learn to stay out of the way. [:O][%-)]
Quit turning the computer off. Saves lots of time. You can shut off the monitor if you want to save a little juice.
Most modern computers have “power saver” modes on the hard drive and monitor anyway, so try leaving it on. It will probably “hibernate” until you wake it up in the morning with the keyboard or mouse.
You could get a coffee pot with an auto-timer. Even better, teach Bubba to turn it on, and have him give the computer mouse a whack while he’s at it.
LOL MisterBeasley. Thanks. This post was more or less meant as a little annectdote to all you good people for making 2005 a pleasant good year for me. Just my way of saying thanks. Ken and Bubba >^…^<
Clothes? You actually put on clothes? What a weanie!
Put the coffee pot and computer in the bathroom.
Don’t forget the fridge if you like cream in the coffee! [^]
