Newberry-Columbia, SC: Just the addition of texture and details make a scene

[D] Well, it is New Years eve, what to do? I was standing in the train room just looking, when it dawned on me I could add something to a scene, so I looked at the Silo addition and realized it was incomplete, so I found my ground foam bottles and started adding some texture. It’s amazing what can happen with just a little work, and the addition of more people and vehicles.

This is how I had the silo complex for awhile, then today I looked at it closer and added texture.

Much better.

For me just adding details to a scene may improve it.

This train platform hardly had anything on it, also no surrounding details. First I added the Woodland Scenic plug in lamp. The I went through the ole scrap box and found junk, perfect. Added parts and pieces, a fork lift, people doing stuff and an old Walther’s REA truck, (it is an old resin kit 30 years old).

Of course I love wooden kits, the station is a Union Pacific model, based on their design with the large loading dock, it is a craftsman kit, hand painted.

You can also see the flats I designed from Evan’s Design attached to the backdrop.

Thanks,

It is amazing how by adding a little extra to good looking scene, can make it great looking, I like it. [if thats worth anything]
