You would think with high waters they would use the 844 and 4014 to haul freight as they can operate through water that diesels can’t. During the steam-diesel transition when there was high water it was bring in the steam engines to haul the freight.

There was a washout along the triple track on the Kearney Sub. One of the tracks was open yesterday, a second was to open today and the third in a day or two.
