Just wait until the ‘taggers’ use the open canvas of the fuel tank area.

Exactly the same way they did earlier engines like the Armed Forces commemorative.

If you can’t develop masks for transfer print painting, take a couple of good high-resolution pictures of the sides, straighten 'em out and scale 'em in software, and print decals off the resulting files. Most of the work for modelmakers has in fact already been done because the complex ‘murals’ are, as noted, a ‘wrap’ job (generated and printed from computer files) and adapting this to a smaller-scale print ought to be straightforward…

For Balt: the sheer genius of this is, whatever the taggers do to other parts of the locomotive, how could you tell it wasn’t part of the design?
