I am in the process of cleaning and restoring an old tin plate derrick crane, does anyione know of any products or resources on the market to redo the nickle palting on some of the components. Any direction or help would be gretly appreciated. Thanks in advance

There is a small kit that some car dealers use to gold or chrome plate emblems right on the car. I did not find it on Google but you might ask around one of the bigger luxery car dealers.

Try going to the library and looking up books on jewelry making. I saw a few books at our library that covered this quite well. They covered several other finishes as well (Gold, silver, zinc, and so on).
