NJ Transit adopts FY 2013 budget
Very good NJT. However, nothing about expanding the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Line. Remember, Bergen is in its name. If towns don’t want it, then run the service in these towns with doors closed! It should also be extended to Cresskill. It could end across the street from a senior citizen housing development. This would make it easier to get to their doctor’s, go shopping or go traveling seeing that these are low floor cars. These cars are NOT like freight trains. They move fast. So NJT, get light rail to Bergen County!
No comment on continuation or completion of the Andover extension on the NJ cutoff. I’m joining the ranks of those who want to but will never see service Hoboken to Scranton or Binghamton. My Phoebe Snow memories will have to suffice.
The Phoebe Snow, The Twilight, and the other Lackawanna long distance trains- what glorious livery! Shame.
