While Hoboken is still flooded out I wonder why Morris and Essex as well as Montclair-Boonton is not restored to Seacaucus or at least the Broad Street Station.

What was the extent of the damage to engines and cars stored at Hoboken and the Medowlands Maintenance Center?
Were the new ALP45 engines damaged?

I arrived back in NYC from a Cruise today, and was able to get LIMITED service out of Penn Station from AMTRAK, and NJT had Trenton Line Service restored. HOWEVER, North Jersey Coast Line Service was still CANCELED for today. Part of the issue is the fact that - TODAY - there was access from Bergen Interlocking to Penn Station only on the New York Bound Track 1, resulting in Single Track service, which resulted in the canceling of numerous AMTRAK Trains, and made Long Branch service problematical in addition to the fact that there is still damage being worked on on the line between Union Interlocking and Long Branch.
