If you can find it the book “The Nickle Plate Story” by John Rehor. It doesn’t get any better than that. It is a complete history of the Railroad, and includes rosters for every locomotive built for the railroad.
I thought NKP stood for “No Known Prototype” ? [;)]
Joe; Just fired e-mails off to both. Thanks. This was fast. Randt

Rehor’s a great resource, but it does have holes. Moreover, it doesn’t include a lot of technical data on the engines, and is a bit sketchy about ANY details on early engines. The R&LHS has published rosters for the NKP, W&LE, LE&W and TStL&W. The NKPHTS has online rosters for all of these roads, as well as diagram books online (you have to be a member to access this information). The NKPHTS has published a book on the NKP’s Mike fleets, now out of print. There are two newer hardback books out on the NKP’s Berkshire and diesel fleets.
