As many of you probably know by now, the New Mexico Rail Runner recently began service to Santa Fe, thus completing (for now anyways) the roughly 100 mile route it was originally designed to serve from Belen to SF. Hopefully in the coming years it’s service will be extended. Particularly, down to Socorro, NM, just 30 miles away on BNSF track… and where I live.
