No BLI at Trainworld!

Ijust got off the phone with Trainworld. The young sounding lady said that they do not carry BLI. Where was it that had the Hudsons on sale last week?

Call back she’s wrong. Go to their website and get a stock number.

Their customer service people need to be spoon fed.

Chip, I couldn’y find BLI on their site either

Edit:

SpaceMouse, you where faster [:D]

The certainly do sell BLI, but the person you talked to is probably not aware of it.

This is the reason I do not order from them any longer.

She may have been one I talked to two years ago, or an exact copy of her.

Did you say “BLI” or did you ask for “Broadway Limited”? I am guessing she just misunderstood. Using letters is a bad habit of our modern society. We have a tendency to speak in cryptic things where we know what we mean but others don’t have a clue what we are talking about.

u knw what i meen.
ATM - 4 meanings I know of
CSU - 3 meanings I know of
BNSF - oh know I guess everyone here will know that one.[:I]

There are 2 Trainworlds. IYou might have got the wrong site.

Guys he got a Mike not a Hudson. Give the girl a number and she can find it. Tell her she sells trains and she’ll aks you for a number.

bbruce,
They’ve been advertising Broadway Limited Imports for months in MR. Every time I have accessed their website BLI is there. I have only made one purchase from them but it was a no problem deal. It is quite possible that with holiday ru***hey may have put people on the phone who were not adequately trained.
There has been discussion on the forum about the deal Trainworld was(is?) running on BLI Hudsons. At their website they show a good price on GG-1’s @135.99. Other BLI products per their ad are available; no price stated-listed as sale. Price they’re offering is worth a second call if that’s what you want. If you get the same run around ask to speak to a supervisor. This is a mail order house, they need volume to make the business work; a supervisor wouldn’t want to lose a potential customer. To take advantage of some of the great prices you may have to be flexible re road name and loco number.
P.S. I’ve always just put in trainworld.com to access their site with no problem.
Good luck!

Jon

Google trainworld.com and you’ll get a page with two headings, one of them trainworld. Call the trainworld number, not the other one (sorry, can’t remember its name). Also, don’t be surpised if they won’t take your first order over the phone. At least, that is what they told me some time back. I was to download their order form and fax it to them…sheesh!

Guys.

He got through and got the Mike.

That’s EXACTLY the first thing that popped into my head. You can’t throw acronyn at these folks and expect them to know what you are talking about. You have to say manufacturer (e.g. Broadway Limited) and item# (which is usually the manufacturers #). Anything more or less throws things into a state of confusion.

You had me scared there! [:O] I was going to order the Mike also. I purchased the BLI NYC Hudson on November 11th of this year at Trainworld with no problem.

I have never had a problem with Trainworld. Call their number, give them the stock number of the item(s) you want, credit card number and bang!!! Three to five days later I have the item(s) in my hand. I ordered a Bachmann Spectrum N&W J 4-8-4 and a BLI NYC Hudson from them in early December. Took 4-days to get here. No problems!

I ordered a Hudson from them just last Saturday. I doubt they sold out since then.
