No Maas, No Maas

Went looking for Maas metal cleaner and could not find it at Wally World or Home Depot. Anyone know who carries it in the Mid-Atlantic area?

Thanks,

-OT

Try a True Value or Ace Hardware store.

You would normally find it in the house cleaning/cleaners section along with window,
ovev, furniture cleaners.
It comes in an two ounce tube

None at the Wal_Mart in Dale City Va . Not even a spot for it. I wonder if it is a reginal thing.

Must be… I have searched high and low and can’t find it. I tried Lowes, Home Depot
and Walmart. No luck. Dave

Try target I have seen it in some of their stores and if you are north of the boarder Zellers carries it. TB

As a substitute you could use the" automotive POLISHING compound", not the rubbing compound.

I can always pick a few tubes up and airlift them to you. I can get them tomorrow, Saturday, and mail them
out Monday. Just send me your addresses.

I just found Maas at Home Depot. Have been looking for it for a long time. I also have some Flitz that I ordered from Micro Mark, when I started looking for the Maas. The Flitz works easier on cleaning my OLD Brass track. Don’t know about the running properties yet, but the flitz worked easier and faster in the cleaning process. Also more expensive.

Thanks to all who answered.

At Wal Mart I had checked the automotive section (they had Mothers and some others) and the Housewares (they had Brasso and others).

Home Depot has Brasso and one other.

Ace hardware online shows that they have it, so I will check a local store.

I will try to check out Lowes today if I can.

There are a few Marine Supply stores I can check out also.

Lastly, Maas has a web site that will ship it direct and the price does not seem to out of line.

locomotive3 (Chuck) -Thanks for the kind offer. I will continue looking around my area, and Maas has a website and will ship for a reasonable price. It’s good to know that you are willing to help. Thanks.

Just about any metal polish (except Brasso) will work. We have used Blue Magic (liquid) and Mothers Mag Wheel Poli***o name a few.

Don’t get hung up trying to find just MAAS and Flitz.

I swear by Mothers polish. I use it on my Trans Am’s wheels and it really works great. I’ve also used Autosol and have had great results.
