Norfolk Southern employee killed in mudslide
May he rest in peace.
Thoughts and prayers for the family, just another part of danger for mountian railroads, especially in southern Appalachia.
God love my fellow railroad brother and his family.
Railroading of all sorts is still extremely dangerous. Condolences go out to family. May he truly rest in peace.
May the Good Lord bless and comfort the family. Mountain railroading is beautiful, but tough on those who work there.
This story received the full focus of the front page of The Asheville Citizen-Times on the day after its occurrence. I happened to be there at the time. It was a tragic reminder of so much that can go wrong, and once again emphasized the strategic connection that that historic rail route brings to much of western North Carolina. My prayers go out to the bereaved family. The railroad man was typified as a wonderful family man.
He died doing what he loved best: Working on the railroad with his boots on.
This goes to show that mudslides are not exclusive to the west where UP & Burlington Northern run. When I saw the headlines thoughtit might have happened in Virginia of West Virginia. It is appointed unto man once to die
My condolences go to Mr. Joseph Drewnoski’s family, friends and colleagues. May he rest in peace.
Sincerely,
