Thought this was a pretty cool ad with a catchy new take on a classic.

And, of course, the original.

Thanks, Kevin:
Interesting ad! Seems like NS Corp has an advertising group with some new ideas. Their animated ads ( utilizing the ’ Train layout" concept ), and this new variation have been interesting to watch and enjoy. At least IMHO ! [tup]
That is a great commercial. Way to go, Norfolk Southern.
I had never seen the Conjunction Junction video before, the commercial does an excellent job of building on it.
I love the old time railroad features in the C.J. video; like the lantern, the roofwalks, the high brake wheels, and of course, the caboose. And to my eyes, the brakeman is dressed the way I remember brakemen were dressed.
Two really enjoyable videos.

I remember the Schoolhouse Rock specials when I was a teen. I was a bit beyond them, but my sister watched them. Funny thing, they didn’t go away. Teachers today still use them! My kids know all about them. “Conjunction Junction” was one of the best - it had the catchiest song.
So, that makes this commercial all the more interesting. They used an artifact from the 70s that somehow “got legs” and made it to the present day with broad appeal.
I only hope NS can find it enough air time.
And, thankfully, no “one line, infinite possibilities” tag line. Silliest thing ever.
Here’s a video of the behind the scenes of the NS commercial.

I don’t know. How Tomorrow Moves is pretty silly. I mean, what about moving stuff today??
Never do today what you might put off until tomorrow.
Thanks for posting this.
I was away on business last week and saw this Ad on one of the screens in the restaurant I was having dinner in, but the audio was off so I didn’t get the “Schoolhouse Rock” connection…
Slightly OT, as a kid “Conjunction Junction” was my favorite “Schoolhouse Rock” segment although I always felt slightly disappointed that the cartoon didn’t show any locomotives…
Kevin, thanks for posting the behind the scenes video. It looked like a lot of people enjoying their work.

Nice job NS!
