why does NS SD60Es ditchlights flash slower than the new AC44C6Ms
I have never figured out why the did this and some other locomotives have the same as the SD60E.
Probably a different supplier of the flashing mechanism. Watch turn signals for vehicles on the highway - they all have different flash rates determined by the specific used by each vehicle.
