NS vs. CSX

I was just wondering how many people like CSX and how many like NS.

I rate CSXT as Second.
Allan.

NS is wonderful!!!

echo, echo, echo …

Well, you have 2 topics, so ill answer this one to make sure the other one falls back.

Norfolk Southern. Definatly. There not in finacial problems like I think “Chessie system Seaboard system and all others transportation” is, and the NS locos look awful pretty.

Yes, I wrote them out. [:D]

CSX is second.

NS is next to last.

Old Timer

no,no,no!
NS is the much better railroad.
(but of course the DMIR is better right?:))

Sorry, Coborn35. In a two-horse race, where does the one fini***hat’s next-to-last?

Old Timer

NS is the best. ILLINOIS CENTRAL is the best fallen flag.
KCS is second. CSX is third.

Definitely NS!

Is this a trick question? [xx(]

UPRR or BNSF are my favorites. Eastern roads to me are not as exciting nor as scenic as the Western ones are in my opinion. [:o)][:p][:)]

Honestly, I don’t like either of them (two words: Conrail Fan).

I like them both really so it’s hard to choose.

Well, I liked CSX before the Conrail split and after the split, I just liked them even more. In a nearby city to my town, NS has killed many on their crossings, including my great aunt. And besides, CSX is just darn good[(-D].

I like CSX better than NS, because CSX has a variety of power where NS is lamo Dash 9s[zzz] . Also there paint is better on CSX than on NS.

CSX has the better colour scheme. [;)] NS has some one-of-a-kind locomotives too. They’ve got GP59s, B32-8s, and those C44-9s (I think) with conventional cabs.

Well, I would have to say that I prefer CSX because it is my hometown railroad. I do like NS’s black horse scheme over any of CSX’s schemes. But, the B & O, C & O, Western Maryland, Pere Marquette, Chessie, Seaboard, and part of the Pennsy live on through CSX.

On My Daddy’s side it has to be CSX ,but on my Mama’s side its NS. These family discussions do tend to be a bit drawn out (off and on for the last 10 to 15 years). The touble of all this is that with my Grand Parents it was either SAL, AB&C, Southern or The Central (of Georgia) with a bit of admiration of the Tullula Falls. As for me I like them both but for different reasons.
