O-Scale minimum radius

Could anyone advise what the minimum radius might be for an O-Scale 2-8-2?

I guess it depends on the specific model, but since you use radius instead of diameter I assume you’re talking about a two-rail scale model Mikado. I’d think you’d need a bare minimum of 36" radius, but it could be a little more or less.

Atlas has an O forum on their website, I’d maybe post this there too. [:)]

Here’s the NMRA recommendation table http://www.nmra.org/standards/rp-11.html for scale equipment.

Assuming a USRA design with all wheels flanged you would need 41.5", with blind center drivers you need 36.5"

Manufacturer’s frequently engineer their products to get around tighter curves than the NMRA recommends, so a particular model may need less.
