Ohio station looking for new buyer
Mr. Mount, are you referring to the Age of Steam roundhouse as this new roundhouse?
Would it look good next to a brand new roundhouse ?
There’s a lot of information missing, but trying to read between the lines it sounds like subsequent owners may have renovated the station a long way from its historical roots. That has happened elsewhere, You can see the shell started as a station but additions, renovations and modernizations have not been sympathetic to the original design.
If I hit the powerball I’ll buy it.
I am Stunned at the readers for NOT being able to DO a few simple Fact Checks! Go to Google Street View-- about 950 W Main Kent Ohio- then Tell me what you SEE! The Public side walk on the South Side of Main St touches the Building. This view is only 6 months old. You can see 3 sides of the Depot from Streetview and the South can be seen from the Air. IF Mister Corman were still alive–This would be a perfect fit for one of his Properties–Red and White and Well Done! This Building is A Great Looking Asset to Kent! Would fit in in Sugercreek. Would be a better fit across from B&O Freight Station at the Bottom of W Summit Street ! Empty Land is Already there! The Pufferbelly would have Good Neighbors! John Ellwood Burtscher-Flint, MI
Let’s at least extend a thank you to the current owner for making an effort try find a buyer to preserve this historic structure.
