Well I would, and have and will again. In fact I drove to Virgina to operate an 0-4-0t. (Flag Coal No 75) was worth every min. and dime! If you don’t like them, your loss. Might not be too long thats all there will be to see.
What’s with this snotty attitude towards 0-4-0T’s? I bet if all of them had been scrapped there would have been a whole lot of regrets,whining,and wailing from railfans about their being gone forever(e.g. PRR T1 4-4-4s).
I used to go to southern Georgia every year in march and operate a Vulcan 0-4-0T and i can say Mr. Hays, that engine had a throatier and louder bark (stack talk) than some big engines i have been around. It may not have been a main line engine but when you pulled the throttle, it was all business. Just sayin…
