Old Passenger Car Info Please.

In the photo below, in the centre, you can see the top of a wreck crane. Attached to it is a passenger car. Can anyone tell me some details of this car. I can’t seem to find a look a like on any of my web searches.

How long is it? Who made it? What years were these made? And anything else you might know about it.

A couple of people told me that Rivarossi makes the closest thing to this but I would like some other opinions. Thanks in advance for all your expert advice.[:)]

It appears to be an old wood 50-60’ passenger coach. The Rivarossi car is about 50’ long, but close.

It is a 50 or 60 ft wood underframe, truss rod, coach make by dozens of manufacturers between the 1870’s and 1900’s.

Labelle makes similar models in wood kits.

Looks like a 50’ wood car. Roundhouse sells ones like it.

Here is a pic of the Roundhouse Overland 50’

Thanks for responding everyone.

Dehusman those Labelle models look great. I think I may take a crack at one. What trucks should I be looking for to go on it? And what about interiors? Thanks.

Any idea when the pic was taken, and where it is?? It appears the car (well, pretty much all the cars I can see) are Canadian Pacific. Going by what appear to be primarily 36’ cars I’d guess the pic was from somewhere in the 'teens or 'twenties. Knowing it’s CP should help track down info on it, who the builder was, type of trucks etc. I’m guessing it’s in MOW service so the interior might be very different from when it was built in the 19th century.

Photo is August 19,1916.

It is the Canadian Pacifics False Creek Yard in Vancouver.

Nothing left but the roundhouse now. This poor guy just sits there wondering where all his friends have gone.[:(]
