Old Wooden Models

I’m new to this, and I’m looking for info on finding a site to go to to find out value of 4 wooden building models from yesteryear. Any help would be appreciated,

If you know who the manufacturer was you can search Ebay. They might show up there. Another option would be to watch the “HOyardsale” site in Yahoo. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum. It makes a difference if they are kits or built up. It also makes a difference if they are old crftsman kits and hiw much cardboard there is. The manufacturer also makes a difference. FSM are worth a fortune and worth every penny. Campbell do well.

If you live in an area that does train flea markets you can get a idea, but it takes some research.

It also makes a difference if you are buying or selling. If you are buying to build make sure it is a kit you want to build. I love old Campbell kits, but they take forever to assemble.

The suggestion to watch ebay is the best idea of all but that takes a lot of time and bandwidth to do much real research.

If you could mention specific kits, some could tell you what we would pay or sell for, though no transactions can take place on the forum…

Gary, one thing I will ask, what are they worth to you? Model Rail Roading is not about resell worth. But is it what you want. Try searching for models that look like what you are bidding on new and used. A link would help as well so we can see what you are looking for. No one wants to over pay! But, if you got to have it, that is another story.

[#welcome] as well.
