Olympia Logging Series: Part 1 - display-style design
Great job Kent! Looking forward to it!
Ok you have my attention, On30 layout great idea with the shadow box effect. I already have ideas for my HO scale 2truck heisler. Can’t wait to see you start. I love the 3 track idea, foreword then back. I have an 18 foot run which is 1foot wide. That will give me some running room.
Can’t wait to see the finish product.
Looking forward to this. I always wanted to build an HOn3 logging railroad but never ever did. Good stuff!
This is going to be fun! Looking forward to it.
Great presentation Kent, I’m looking forward to watching you guys build this one. Being from WV the logging theme is quite popular here as well, we’ve had a few of those railroads in the past.
Very, Very interesting. I have seen a few samples of “small railroads” showing only one scene, but you guys will show everything from bench work to completion. So often, more is less. I am looking forward to this series.
I like the layout design and everything. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Will track and benchwork plans be published for this layout?
An interesting concept! I am used to “shadow boxes” in museums and in military modeling, but this is the first time I can think of it being used for a layout. I am interested to watch the concept evolve.
This is definitely a change from your recent 4 x8 layouts. It should be of interest to those with a limited space to model. Yet, the transfer table will need to be long to accommodate an entire train sliding form track to track. Your new project will be fun to watch as you build it.
This looks very creative, looking forward to the series.
I think your tree isn’t a pine, but a Douglas Fir, which would be more typical of the forests in the Northwest.
Also I don’t understand your “traverser”. Please explain … Thank you
This will be most welcome to me since I have a 4 X 8 ON30 Circa 1880 logging work-in-progress the past three years using Bachmann motive power etc. I can use all the help I can get! Thanks
Great job Kent, your enthusiasm for this project is inspiring. I am looking forward to seeing this project layout’s episodes.
having a issue with your video, not able to watch them?? Did you change settings with your uploads??
I like the shadow box idea! Nice job on this video too, guys.
It looks like the frame puts tne layout on a theater stage . You are staging a train show. It only lets your vier see what you want and when. Good luck in your show bis career
On30 is not O scale on HO scale track. It’s O scale on HO Gauge track with tie size and spacing in O scale. How can you guys get this wrong??
