On-Line Operations

Greetings fellow modellers…

I am looking for club layouts, museum layout or personal layouts that are almost finisted for remote operation with the general public.

I wrote software and developed hardware that allows for remote running of locomotive.

see Canadian Locomotive Logistics - Graphic User Interface Throttle for JMRI (loco: 1)
you can run my locomotive consist.

If you have a looped layout, perfered, computer, I’d like know if you are interested.

Once completed, you will be added to a list of layout available for remote operation.

see Canadian Locomotive Logistics – Layouts – Cloud Business Portal

If any, funds raised, they will be distributed to the layouts imvolved.

If you have any questions,..

The fasted way to answer is testing
517-500-6609 in the US
519-630-5494 in Canada
or join my discord channel #LocoCabCam
or email me canadianlocomotivelogistics@gmail.com

I look forward to having 30 or 50 layouts online soon.

when we had remote ops during Covid, we just used Engine Driver on our phones to control the locos on the remote layout using JMRI WiThrottle running on the layout

I’ve gone better… check it out.
There is no comparision.

greg, tell us more about your experience with Engine Driver and its capabilities.

In what way?

Can you do a comparison between your software and Engine Driver?

Thanks, greg, I have never heard of Engine Driver until you mentioned it.

Where is the live video?

Did you even look at the webpage I provided?

Not to sound rude, but…. You don’t even know what my webpage is like, you didn’t even try it

And you brought up some other product

If you don’t mind, can you remove your comment?

I don’t hear any locomotive sounds either….

Thank you very much!

Sorry if i sound angry.

I spent decades on this project.

Just fyi

Some of the proceed raised during remote operations, go to fund the the layouts.

This weekend we demonstrated out remote ops

Honestly, this is quite amazing. I wonder if it would be possible to rig it up to control AC O gauge stuff…

Is there a way to currently control it with a compluter, like JMRI?

It would be possible. I don’t know of an existing system with that functionality. A suitable controller would have to be designed, maybe with a Raspberry Pi and a whole pile of relays. And a servo. Maybe. I’m not too good with the digital stuff. The big issue, I think, would be the reverse unit; it would have to be possible to cycle it somehow.

Over a week ago, I was demonstrating remote operations and a train show. I’m gonna leave the link below, this was with the NMRA.

It’s a lengthy video, but I explain everything and how it all works.
