On the scrounge

Hi all

Does any one have two std Tyco straight tracks I can beg borrow or steal, rail must be reasonably straight sleeper strip don’t care.

This is wanted for a simple “G” scale log car

Also can anyone tell me which Model Railroader (Yes that is the right mag) it was in I have the mag and twenty million others and cannot find the artical.

Originaly tried them in balsa years ago did not work so going to try one in propper wood this time and see how I go

Any one got a picture of a wood line tank car might try one of those as well.

Looks like no one can help on any thing.

RENE HELP!!!

Could you please talk to the Model Railroader staff and see if you can find out which issuie the simple “G” scale log car was in ??.

I know I have the magazine but I canot find the issuie.

John,

Do you mean the plans for the 1:20 scale skeleton log car? My plans say set #40 in 1999.

Hi Brian

No I do mean Model Railroader for the magazine.

I should have kept one the failed balsa log cars for a pattern but I did not.

Wrong wood but did not know that at the time[sigh].

So I now have the tank body made to fit it, a pair of arch bar trucks and a bit of spare time but cannot find the magazine[:(].

Finding the mag is like looking for a needle in a hay stack with the quantity of model railway magazines I have.

Try posting your question in MODEL RAILROADER forum section[?]

Unfortunately they only have the last 3 years of indicies online. This is what I could find -

2005 - Two projects to detail your large scale
flatcars, Mar p62

Hi guys

Can any one tell me

if the Garden Railways article November/ December 1991

Just For kids A Skeleton Log Car To Take Your Timber To The Mill

Is this a simple scratch build project if it is it might be a suitable substitute

Which will mean next question any one got a copy of the mag they can copy the artical from for me.

Not having any luck finding the MR artical.

Hi guys

Have sourced some HO rubbish track the second hand dealer was even willing to pay postage just to get rid of it[wow]

Has any one got a drawing for a Very simple Log car in six or less bits of wood and no brakes

The E.G.FW & T Co isn’t that concerned about runaways or other fussy details at this stage.

Just geting a home made log car that actualy works
