I have been getting closer to finishing my On30 5x9 layout, but I think it might be kind of fun to do all scenery instead of a town. Should I?

Gee Nick, it’s kinda fun to plan that part BEFORE you actually finish or at least as you build. Why don’t you post an aerial picture of the layout to invite some ideas.

YES ! YES ! By all means do only scenery, no towns, small lumber or mining camps, but stay out of those big old dirty cities, by the way they all look the same anyway, Hooray for you, all the logging guys salute you.
You can’t fit much of a city in a 5’x9’.
