Have a pair of these gons down here…they are almost new, built in 2003 if I remember the stencil correctly…how many others are there…and any idea why only two seem to wandering around the swamp?
It ought to be sometime in 2001, if my observations were right.
Brandenburg Industrial Services has 50 of these cars (BISX 30900-30949), built between 1998 and 2001. Rivet-counters will have a blast with them–differences in end design, etc. I’m pretty sure they’re home-built–there are no other cars anything like them. They’re used mostly for construction debris. We used to get a bunch of them through here, but no more–I think they’re very focused on specific demolition jobs or something like that.
Thanks for sending that along!
Actually, the debris on top is just decoration (like on a model railroad gon). Underneath the facade is where the shackles are mounted.[;)]
…then why aren’t they white?? Ed, did you retouch that photo??
LOOK OUT THE BLACK HELICOPTER’S LANDI…

One down, so many more to go…
Remember, head for the light!
I thought it might be TIH Hazmat from the windsock on top…

To tell you the truth, the wind sock is at the rip track office/workshop…they like to eat a lot of cabbage, beans, mexican food, so we need all the advance warning we can get.
We are such an irreverant group! [:D]
Okey dokey, where’s the smiley with the clothespin on the nose?!?! [swg] [(-D]
And, should I make a big pot of pinto beans and cornbread for supper tonight
in the DD/CS?[(-D][(-D]
You bet!
We are such an irreverant group! [:D]
Some of us are, anyway. Glad I could fit the “straight” answer in here.
But I’m out the door at the diner anyhow, so knock your socks off! (It is hard to swallow when you have a clothespin on your nose!)
